Another banana skin game, it seemed like we just clicked in that game against Bournemouth's U23's but Gordon got booked and we've been informed he has a FOUR game suspension by the league. We've got the appeal in, we're not arguing he shouldn't be out for a few - he's had four yellows and a red already in just nine games, but FOUR matches out seems wild! The kid's not Joey bloody Barton for heaven's sake! Other than that strangeness we have full complement available, all ready to go on and keep the goals rolling in.
This match will be like a reunion of old friends for these sides given the ten players that moved between the clubs in the deal to bring Savinho to the Northeast; some of those lads are always welcome here as friends but we know the mentalities of our players that are now Eagles and Eagles that now play for us. It's all going to get set aside for 90 minutes plus change on Wednesday.
