Re: Round 15 Reaction
Liverpool 2 - 0 Brentford
Coutinho (50)
A_Garnacho (62 pen)
another tough game as we now lose 2 on the bounce but my main aim this season is survival so long way to go yet

Re: Round 15 Reaction
Aston Villa 5-0 Everton
Wow - I did not see this one coming! As I said in my buildup games vs Everton are normally cagey affairs with a goal in it either way so to garb five in one game is a real achievement for my side.
When its started off C vs C I expected another of those games and getting the first goal was all important. fortunately we managed that with Zac Butterworth grabbing it after 25 minutes - he then immediately switched from AM to DM showing his versatility. Five minutes later it was 2-0 as Anthony Gordon continued his fine run of form. From there Everton went all out attack and we were able to pick them off on the counter. We did so very clinically. First Gordon grabbed his second 10 minutes into the second half before Guus Til put the gloss on the win with 12 to play. And Luis Suarez grabbed another off the bench one minute later to complete the rout.
Man Utd lost as well so we find ourselves on top of the table for the second time this season. Last time it only lasted a week so we want it to be a bit longer this time. Not only that but the last two league games have done no harm at all with our GD - a 12 goal boost over that period. After round 13 we were 11 behind Man Utd and 16 off Liverpool on that stat. We are now only 6 behind Liverpool and 2 ahead of Utd. How things change.
We're nearing the halfway point in the league and we are where we want to be but we've done this before and fallen away in the second half of the campaign. We have to keep it going this time - the others aren't going to go away easily!
