Re: FMFA Cup Prelimary Round Results
Scunthorpe United 0-1 Bromsgrove Sporting
Bromsgrove made their bow on the FMFA stage with a very solid away performance - keeping a clean sheet and edging the tie during extra time meaning they will play in the first round proper of the FMFA Cup. Sporting had the counter throughout the game but couldn't get the goal that would have put them through during the 90 minutes. It was only during the first period of extra time when the deadlock was finally broken with Kobe Hall providing a delightful finish to Jack Newell's cross field pass.
The club come away with a win - albeit a late one - in their first ever game and fans can now dream of welcoming one of the big boys to The Victoria Ground in the next round.

Wilson Strike Fires Daggers Past Morecambe
FMFA Cup Preliminary Round – Dagenham & Redbridge 1–0 Morecambe
Dagenham & Redbridge edged into the next round of the FMFA Cup thanks to a second-half winner from Danny Wilson, overcoming stubborn resistance from Morecambe in a lively contest at Victoria Road.
The first half was frantic, with both sides trading chances. Daggers’ striker Dan Stephenson twice went close in the opening minutes – denied first by keeper Aaron Mair and then by the woodwork while Razaq Khaleel forced another strong stop. At the other end, Morecambe’s Piero Lewis rattled the bar with a thunderous strike, and Jensen Nuttall looked sharp but wasteful in front of goal.
Morecambe thought they had taken the lead on 56 minutes when Nuttall bundled the ball home after a bizarre stoppage for a stray cat on the pitch, only for referee Michael Oliver to rule it out for an infringement to the fury of the travelling fans.
That decision proved pivotal. On 73 minutes, James Haigh surged forward from midfield and threaded a clever pass into Wilson, who steadied himself before lashing home beyond Mair to send the home crowd wild.
The Shrimps pushed for an equaliser late on, Lewis again coming close, but Sam Howes stood firm in the Daggers’ goal with a string of assured saves. Man of the Match honours went to Haigh, whose energy and vision in midfield were central to the hosts’ success.
