Bayern Munich - Rosario Central

A poor showing against Manchester United and now we are back home against Rosario. We must lift and perform well at home for the fans and to meet our goals of progressing from this group given we are favourites.

Aston Villa - Wolverhampton Wanderers

So after a great start in this competition with a positive result against Napoli at home we now travel to Villa park for our next match. Although staying in the league is our priority this season we will try and do well in this competition as well. Villa are a good side with some fantastic players so this is not going to be an easy game. Thankfully we only lose Vaden for 2 games so we'll need to adjust to that as he's started well this season however thankfully Midfield is a position we're pretty strong in now. Tel was unlucky in the last game not to get a goal so hopefully he'll have better luck in this one.

Aston Villa vs Wolves

Wolves at home and still a lot of the side I built a couple of seasons ago. But Ian has taken that side and built on it and they are a settled premiership outfit. They haven't had the start they would have wanted in the Prem but I have no doubt they will come good and, on their day be a match for anyone. We will not take them lightly! Indeed only last season they beat us in the Prem at their ground - one of only three sides to do so.

But, after the excellent away win last week we know that three home wins should take us through and those three games are up next so taking max points from them would allow us an opportunity to rest some players. That is the ideal and its starts with this one so we're all out for the win

Philadelphia Union vs Deportivo Toluca
Both sides will be fairly happy with their first round results as we won at Brighton and Deportivo took a great point of tournament favourites Liverpool. With the Reds expected to dominate the group, that point could be even more crucial than our three. I said last week that we would have to target Deportivo and that hasn't changed. We are at home and a win is the target. Putting ourselves on six points at this early stage would be a excellent platform to try and make it through the group.

It's hard to prepare for a random as Liverpool found out so we'll just have to go with what's best for us and cross our fingers
