Overall an game that both sides cancelled eachother out leaving the end result as a 0-0 scoreline and although i should've pleased we managed to secure a point from a tough away game it does open up a 6 point gap to Villa at the top of the table which with there side is a mountain to climb already.
We knew the other manager wouldn't show up but his back five had a great game and kept us at bay. We dominated and were unlucky not to score but also their strike force is very good so happy not to concede to that.
We stay top 4 in the table and eight points clear of the reigning champions in sixth so we're in a solid spot. But recent form is mixed with only five wins in the last 12 in all competitions. We need to turn that round soon ideally.
A very good win in the local derby where, despite being countered we dominated and took all the points. Goals 15 minutes into each half from Rory Wilson and Kane Taylor gave us all three points as we continue our strong league campaign.
With 12 wins from 13 we're six points clear at the top with nine games to go. With out goal difference 16 better than the next best that may as well be seven points as well. I have seen form sides crumble and start losing games in the past - first hand - but it would be a catastrophe for us to finish outside the top 2 from here. But all we can do is keep ticking the games off and hopefully carry on for an impressive season before this group all graduate
