Los Angeles FC 0-3 Aston Villa
The opposition manager didn't show up so it was a fairly easy 3 points for us here. If anything i'm a bit disappointed we didn't win by more but Matteus Cunha scored a first half hat trick and that was enough for us to take the points. The Brazilian continues to pull up trees for us now having 18 goals in 21 games this season.

The win and other results move us up to third in the table and guarantees we will be in the playoffs at least so that's one box ticked off. But we're still clear in our goal that we want top four and those weeks off around playoff times so no letting up. A win in our next game would put us very close to that so we continue to be all guns blazing to try and wrap it up as soon as possible.

Club America 1-2 Al Ahly

Well we faced a manager who didn't turn up and took the lead after 10 minutes but then Marwan Ateya was sent off and it threw us off our game. They equalised just after half time from the spot and it looked like a really frustrating day for us. Fortunately Wessam Abou Ali popped up in injury time at the end of the game to grab a winner and give us all three points.

The win moves us up to 5th in the table but we aren't confirmed of a playoff spot as yet although it is nearly there. What is in our hands is that we have two home games to come - both tricky against Miami and Cordoba. Two wins from them will likely see us qualify in the top four or at least be the top side in the playoffs and therefore a game in Cairo.

The campaign is on track and we're well placed. Now up to us to finish it off
