After winning three in row we're in a good position to finish top 4. We don't want to end up with playing play off and we need to keep pushing for more wins. We face Malvadao who is without manager and it's hard for us to predict which tactic they will be using in this one. We have to manage without Ruben Dias and Joao Felix in this one. Ruben Dias is out through suspension while Joao Felix got a knock in the loss against Manchester United and will miss our next two games. We rely on Alejandro Garnacho to keep scoring and performing like he did against The Red Devils. We got options up front to replace Joao Felix but we've yet to decided how to set up the team. Luis Suarez, Mohamed Salah and Topaz Kronmüller can all do a good job as replacement for Felix but we might go with only one forward up front. The Club World Cup is a tournament we want to go all the way but there is so many great teams in the tournament and a lot has to go in our favor to get what we want.
We have had a good start in the competition and need to continue that on. We now though travel away to what could be a potentially tough team.
They will have home advantage and look to be a team that are the same in most areas but again we do have the better forward line and that is where we need to make it pay and be clinical with the chances we get.
We have a full squad with no injuries or suspensions and will likely rotate in some areas.
Yokohama Mariners vs Aston Villa
After a disappointing league result in the week and a bye week in this one last time around we face the Japanese side looking to get things back on track. On paper the two sides look evenly matched but the Mariners have lost both their games and will need to start winning if they want to progress. This will be a very tricky tie - particularly in front of their fans. They have a fully fit roster to pick from and I can see them really going for this one.
We will be without Clint Leemans who serves the second game of his suspension and he is treading on thin ice with his disciplinary record. He is not as untouchable as he once was and there's always potential for us to cash in on him.
Our season to date has been a very mixed bag and it'd be nice to get a prolonged run going. We've had two 2-0 defeats book ending a good five match unbeaten run but those losses could cost us in a tight season. We got away with them last year but did have a 13 game unbeaten run in the middle of it all. We need to go on one of those runs again to get our season going properly
Another game vs English opposition and our first in front of our own fans. This is going to be a tough one against a side that were nearly English champions last year but it maybe that the manager has lost interest a little bit. If he has we are here to take advantage.
We need to start winning to have a chance of going through and a home game is a great chance to do so. Never going to be an easy one against such a good side but we have a full roster to pick from so we'll go as strong as possible and hope to start scoring some goals
Away to a very strong side in the 4th round of the CWC competition. We had an easy midweek round with a non sheet meaning we are in a great position to go into this game and looking at the home sides roster we need to be in we want to keep our form in this CWC group stage. Looking forward to it
