Season 21 - Thoughts

Right guys we are nearing the en of the current season and Season 21 will be coming up.
What things have you thought we need to change or is ther any thing you'd like to see that we don't have?

Things that will be happening:
Club World Competitions are going back to 2 groups, so just 8 teams in them as we realise this trial this season was a flop. We are deciding whether to go back to Anglo-American teams or stay with world teams.
We will be revamping U23's - I need to give it some thought but my initial is to have all those who do sheet and want it in a league together and the rest in a second league that just runs with 442N. More on this when I have run a few ideas to see what is manageable and will work etc but any ideas on U 23s do say.

Please put your thoughts in here and remember you may have the great idea no one has thought about so don't be shy.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this season of FMFA (maybe because I’ve been doing ok lol). The abs exchange market was a great addition.

It continues to be a frustration with inactive managers making transfers hard but nothing can be done there.

On the continental cup, would it attract more caretaker managers if they were sides people had heard of like Barcelona / Real / Bayern etc? Not sure it would but just one for discussion

All the youth ratings need to increase by at least one please. Otherwise the progression will be impossible.

Not convinced by putting all the teams that don’t want to sheet in one league. Gives them a better chance of more reward by non sheeting

Other than that keep it going. Good site to be on

My only suggestion to improve things is that youth rules be changed.
I recommend allowing youth players to stay in youth squad until their main skill rating reaches 28. Also keep the rule that you can have two players rated at 29. This will encourage managers to develop their youth squads more imho.

PS You might also want to consider a complete rerate by reducing in half all ratings so that the game engine runs better.

On the U23 I am looking at lots of ideas such as not only rewarding sheeting but impacting on non sheeting as well as alternatives like splitting into two leagues ones who want to sheet and other those that don't.
Looking also at end of season random player where one player may get chance to be a star as they do in real life and chance to increase abs earned that season by 2 times or 3 times etc as well as a minus so chance to be a flop but more weighted to success.
Increase in ratings allowed in U23 is under discussion anyway and will be each season as we didn't do it last it is likely.
These are all only ideas at the moment so nothing is set in stone.

We are looking at ratings in youth teams and it is under discussion as we didn't increase for current season. I se where your coming from on the 28 rating but I need to look at all squads Div 1 as well as they are likely to have more 28 raters that make first team.

I also think the U23 teams ratings should change, 28 would be good but I would go one further anyone 23 and under regardless of skill level can play in the U23 team.

Do, if I have a 22 year old that is 30 rated it my choice which team he plays in, the worst message you can get is Admin Promote

This! The match engine was apparently never meant to handle such high ratings and so throws up a lot of strange scores at times. Player ratings have grown massively and we aren't far off 40 rated players. I seriously think lower rated players need to be considered.

I have been struggling with time with a new born this season so one thing that I think this site would benefit from is the advanced teamsheet submitting (similar to TDE) making it easier to submit sheets on mobile devices

none of the current managers/admin have the skills to do this unfortunately, it is something we have looked into though
