Villa vs Arsenal
2nd vs 1st with 7 games to go in the season and one where, certainly for us, defeat would be an almost unassailable blow in chasing the defence of our title. The young Gunners beat us 4-1 in round 5 but since then we have won 7, drawn 2 and lost 1 which has put us right in the mix. However, a lot of that has been with us resting people due to the cups and that restarts on Wednesday - if all goes to plan there we will have games midweek and weekend until the end of the season.
Due to a quirk of FMFA, Arsenal had a player rank up in midweek meanng they'll have an extra over rated slot for the game against us. That happens with the transfer schedule but it gives us an extra one to think on. They're missing a very good defender through suspension so that softens the blow a little.
For us, Buckle will miss his final game through injury and will be demoted back to the U23s for the midweek game. We'll be making a decision on who to promote out of Souttar and Adedoyin to keep our over rated in order after this game. We have to be a bit careful with at least 9 games to go in our season as a few of our players may be about to rank up which would give us a headache.
