Brentford 1-1 Wolves.

This was probably a fair result given the way the game went. Both sides created a few chances however niether side really looked like scoring lots of goals. This was a pretty tight game with both sides not seeming to want to take to many risks. The players however did there best and worked hard Kyle especially stood out with some great passing moves and he's a player who has a bright future. Rice in goal given he's lightly to take over as u23 nubmer one next season has performed well in this cup and it's good to see that we have a capable option to replace Norgutte when he goes up to first team next season.

Bournemouth U23 0 - 2 Sunderland U23

Brutal game in which we were shut down by their style and somehow through sheer force of will we dragged ourselves to a two goal win, coming up winners when it mattered. We've qualified out of the group now and we eagerly await the draw for the quarter finals. They will probably feel like they undid themselves with giving away the own goal given how the game was positioned that might be true, but also we had to then go on and secure the win too - no easy task against Bournemouth U23's.

We certainly owe a lot of this result to A_Reach's performance - we were talking about him pregame as having this important coaching and leadership role whether playing or not playing and we were able to see exactly that today. T_Gill stood up big and it remains baffling no one has come in for him, he's clearly ready for senior football - if a team is ready for him, that is.

West Ham United U23 4 - 2 Crystal Palace U23

West Ham United U23 staged a superb comeback to defeat Crystal Palace U23 4-2 at Victoria Road. Palace dominated early, taking a 2-0 lead through C. Redhead’s acrobatic finish and Z. Marsh’s composed strike. West Ham responded after the break, with S. Moor pulling one back before K. Ronan levelled. The turning point came when goalkeeper B. Noukeu was sent off, allowing B. Woodburn to convert the resulting penalty. Woodburn then sealed the win in stoppage time after rounding the stand-in keeper. Moor impressed throughout, earning Man of the Match . Too little too late as West Ham finished bottom of there group.

Brighton U23 0-0 Tottenham U23

It wasnt the most thrilling game, but we remained competetive throughout and either side could have nicked a winner, disapointed to be exiting the competition but we will build and fight for next season.

good luck to everyone else
