Coventry City 1 - 1 Sunderland
Will's teams remain impossible to break down and have this annoying knack for scoring against the run of play. I like having the away goal and the tie is even stevens going into the reverse leg at home but given all the ball and the shots we had it's a disappointing scoreline made even worse by Coventry playing with ten for seventy odd minutes. Should have punished them proper for that and I hope we won't come to regret it in the second leg.

Hartlepool United 1 - 5 Leicester City
Held our own for 45 minutes and then Leicester shifted out of first gear and into fifth effectively killing off the tie in the first leg. Professional effort, difference between the two sides became blindingly obvious. What more can be said?
