Re: Playoff Leg 2 Results and Reaction
Coventry City U23 0 - 0 Tottenham Hotspur U23 (Agg 0-0)
Tottenham win 5-4 on penalties
No goals from either side across either tie meant that this was decided by penalties, and unfortunately for us we came out the wrong side of the draw. Young defender Harvey Broad missed the pivotal spot kick, but in all honesty we should have had this tie done and dusted. In both games we were the better side in terms of chances created, but we struggled to find the net and that's the only stat that matters!
We created 10 chances away from home, with 7 of those on target, and then in the second leg we created 11 but only made the keeper work on three of those. It's not good enough to make 21 chances across two games, get nearly half of them on target, and fail to score a single goal.
However, we performed very well and it's not meant to be.
Good luck in the final Tim!
