DERBY COUNTY U23 1-0 Aston Villa U23
A very even game, born out by the stats.
J_Stretton has come on leaps and bounds this season and was again on the scoresheet to give us the win. The team was confidently marshalled by K_McDonald at the back and he seems to have cemented his place in the side.
Really pleased with the win after the promotions of keeper A_Okonkwo, defender C_McDonald and striker D_Rankine. The players have come in to replace them (Andrea_Basso, O_Meier and S_Jiddou) have given a bit more balance to the squad.

Leicester City U23s 0 - 0 Everton U23s
Disappointing result for the young lads here, as we had a great chance to actually capitalise on Everton. Some how we still stay top of the league, but that lead looks more fragile with every passing game, and to be quite frank, I don't have any confidence in us seeing the season out as Champions.
Thankfully we now have a goalkeeper who knows how to keep a clean sheet, so hopefully that will aid our fight to stay near the top, but with Arsenal and Aston Villa both within a win of us, it's getting a bit squeaky up there!

Brighton U23s 2 - 2 Liverpool U23s
Out of four games, not a single positive result to take. Liverpool battered us here, so taking a draw is probably the only shine we can take from Round 14, although it is tinged with a red card for A_Isufaj (misses one game) and an injury for Lucien_Agoume (misses two games).
Just not sure what to do with these sides next to be honest, as it's getting ever increasingly frustrating to figure out what I am doing so wrong on here that works on other sites.
Cracking performance by Liverpool mind in this one, and they should really have finished us off with Agoume going off, but they also had two players sent off in a rather feisty contest.

Derby 1-0 Villa
We probably deserved something but the defeat ends our run of very good form and brings Derby right into the mix. I guess it had to end sometime for us but it's always a shame when it does.
It's tight at the top with 8 games to go but we just need to put this one behind us and get back to winning and fast. A big run of games now with the cup back on the table in coming weeks as well
