Chelsea U23's edged a dramatic YDL Division Two contest, beating West Ham United U23's 4–2 in an action-packed derby. The hosts twice led in a thrilling first half, with a stunning NC-Philips strike and a well-taken finish from Kane Wooster, but Chelsea responded each time through Joe Arthur and Chuks Ezenwata to make it 2–2 at the break. After the restart, Arthur took control, converting two penalties to complete his hat-trick. Chelsea were reduced to ten men when Jayden Clark was sent off, yet held firm despite sustained West Ham pressure. The result was harsh on the hosts, who created plenty but lacked a decisive touch.

another poor result and peformance for my youths a long way to go but this season is about rebuilding my team 1st

4 debutants and a really solid point this against quality opposition - our new men Thompson, Bell, Middlemas and Hanson all did well and Dane Scarlett rescued a point off the bench!

To stay top we have to grind out wins and we did that 2-0 against Brentford. professional performance and we go out to 4 points clear now. but Maguire is likely to move clubs this weekend. the club that want him are Manchester City so we might be up against our former player at his third club of the season!

Would have loved that third goal to stand but not to be, saying that is like complaining that you have to go pick up lottery winnings though. Pretty ungrateful!
