Spurs U23 v Reds U23
We bounced back last week after a losing start to the season. We played a great football game and secured a 5-0 win. We also came up with a good performance in the cup in the midweek and if we can use those two performances to build confidence, I'm sure we're able to compete with Spurs U23 away from home. We want to be one of the top outfits this season as well but know we have to dig deep to achieve our goals. Any slip up, will hurt us in the long run.

Aston Villa U23 v DERBY COUNTY U23
A different proposition in offering here. We come up against a decent youth team and one that I think are title contenders.
We will virtually stick to the lineup that has served us well so far this season and this will be a good measure as to how we will compete for the rest of the season.

Aston Villa U23 vs Derby County U23
We had a look at Derby when I was managing wolves in the week but i'm sure their manager is going to mix it up and we won't face the same setup again, this means we will need to be creative in our lineup. Both sides are at full strength and it'll be a bit of cat and mouse for who does what.
I have talked at length so far about my hopes for this team this season and we have started really positively but we don't want to let up now. Four wins to start the season couldn't be any better but it's worthless unless we keep it going.
We'll rotate the squad and hopefully have the strength to take all three points. They have more fitness issues than us so hopefully that will play a part

Brentford U23 vs Wolverhampton Wanderers U23
We don't expect the Brentford manager to be showing up so we'll setup accordingly. The side is off to a positive start in the season so hopefully we can push on forwards and keep as high as possible.
Abley will be involved for the final time before he leaves for Man City and we have a trio of new arrivals coming at the weekend to hopefully shake things up. It means everyone is playing for a place and hopefully that competition will spur the side on.
In other areas the squad continues to be thinned out - it is taking shape how we want ot - but still a long way to go

Tough away match up with Leicester, we have 2 from 2 in the league so far but we are still looking to settle into our rythum with this side after improving on last years squad, its likely to see the last few games of Dani in the youths before he is promoted to the seniors so we are making the most of him before that happens
