Aston Villa U23 2-3 Liverpool U23
Another inevitable defeat as we just don't seem to be able to work out how to win. Our 5th game in a row without victory and the season is petering out rapidly. We're fighting just to stay in the top 4. We could get dragged into a relegation scrap if we're not very careful.
We could bemoan the fact we were level when we had a man sent off. It would be maybe even a bigger moan that Liverpool fielded an ineligible player who scored a goal and was man of the match. Whilst we are seriously irritated by that and it does make you wonder why you bother in the long run for this season it doesn't make a fat lot of difference.
We will plod on with the league, try to get back to winning ways and focus on the cups.
