Lol - I blame the manager. Dirty teams!

In fairness 1 of mine went in this one too. Feisty

Newcastle United 1 - 1 Brentford
V_Supriaha (91 pen) Jona_Starek (13)
Sent Off: S_Bergwijn (90)

dissapointed to lose a last minute goal to get a point as we lost the game with a bid of madness from bergwijn so we now go 4 without a win need to start picking up points before i get in a rut

Arsenal 1-2 Aston Villa
We complete the first half of the season with a hard fought away win at Arsenal. Always a tricky game made more so by us expecting them not to sheet and then finding out they had meaning we were playing E away from home against all out attack. I'm surprised there weren't more goals.

As it was an early goal in each half gave us a good lead. Anthony Gordon who has embraced playing a little deeper in our new system scored again from the AM role. After a slow start to his Villa career he is now into double figures for the season. But he's still some way behind Ansu Fati who is now on 16 after doubling our lead in the second half.

The Gunners pulled one back through Alvarez from the penalty spot before a scrappy end to the game saw first malacia sent off for the home side and then Pongracic for us. Both sides will be missing for the next matches for their clubs.

But we took the win rounding off a great first half of the season for us. 14 wins and a draw from our 17 games is a great return and we sit top of the table at the turn around. However, we're only 4 clear of Man Utd and it shows how good the sides in this league are that there are 3 of us with over 2 points per game. An even 2 is normally enough to win a league but doesn't look like it will be this season.

It was our 7th league win in a row and our 11th unbeaten which must be pushing a club record. We know these things come to an end though so we just try and hold on to keep it going as long as possible. We will need to if we're to win this title
