River Plate 1-1 Aston Villa
One day I will work out how we dominate these matches and create loads of chances but fail to win them. Not the first of these this season and won't be the last. We took the lead through Jetro Willems (who is now our second highest scorer this season) but couldn't hold on. Still - an away point in this competition isn't the worst case and we can live with it.
Us and Arsenal are joint top on 4 points and have a nice 3 point gap to the American teams. If we can win home games and draw away we will qualify with no issue so we're off to a great start. On we go to the next one
