Spoilers...

Bournemouth U23s 1 - 0 Brighton U23s

We were hamstrung by fitness issues and injuries for this one, but we still gave a good fight against a very good side. Unfortunately the luck we had in the first team didn't carry over to the seconds, and we instead suffer a 1-0 defeat here. I've not really been able to make a mark on the youth team this season, and it will just keep ticking along for now, but hopefully we can see a positive season and avoid relegation.

GG Matt, I won't tag you as I don't know if you've read the report yet, but well played buddy!

Southampton U23s 1 - 0 Leicester City U23s

Took a risk here, and it backfired as Southampton didn't sheet. We created loads of chances, and once again our strikers were very wasteful. Our title challenged is slipping week by week, and since Donnarumma was promoted to the Seniors, we've not been able to rely on our steadfast defence to get us through games.

Fun game though, and lots of positives to take from the performance

Villa 2-0 Burnley

As soon as I saw the visitors had gone 4-3-3A away from home I fancied us to take this one and we took the lead with an early double and then sat back on the counter attack. which countered their gung ho approach. Very pleasing to come through against a new manager when I didn't know what to expect.

Leicester lost and so we leapfrog them to go into what could be a title defining game against Arsenal at the weekend.
