Liverpool 1-0 River - 2-2 on aggregate, Liverpool win on away goals

Heartache again as yet another away goals defeat! For 3 years we have made the semi finals of this one and 2 of those have seen us go out on the narrowest of margins! The failure to keep the clean sheet at home costs us again!

Getting out of the group with one of these teams is a great achievement and you don't expect to come up against the likes of Liverpool in the Trophy so we're proud we held them to the draw overall. If River have us back next year we will try again for that final spot!

Newcastle United 0 - 1 Bournemouth

Did not see this result happening with our current form and away from home. Newcastle have a far superior squad but somehow we managed to secure a slender one nil lead and after the draw in the first leg sees us through to another final in my short Bournemouth career. If we can take down Liverpool in the final( (very unlikely) it would be another decent trophy to add to the cabinet for the club.
