Wolves 1-0 Napolie

A great hard faught win in our first world challenge cup match. The players were committed and worked hard. Mathys Tel was very unlucky not to score however David Datro Fofana scored the important goel we needed. Ben Stevens also played very well behind the front two. Vaden got an injury so that will be assessed by the club doctore to work out how long we might lose him for.

Brighton 0 - 1 Philadelphia Union

Lost to a side better than us in terms of player ability, but the game showed we were in it throughout and really deserved a point. Good possession stats, decent chance generation, lack of goals. Feels like the common theme for my teams on FMFA!

Inter Miami 0 - 1 Aston Villa

See above, but the gulf between the two rosters is clear with only Messi and de Paul getting anywhere near their team.

Inter Miami 0-1 Aston Villa

We knew this wasn't going to be pretty and Will was going to be playing C with five defenders but we didn't want to risk an E away from home so were prepared to settle for a draw. As it was Clint Leemans was able to grab the only goal and give us a massive three points away from home! The rest of the game was a dull slugfest but it matters not. Away points are crucial in this competition so to take three is great if we can pick up some home wins as well but it increases thee margin for error. We now know if we win our home games we're through

Brighton and Hove Albion 0-1 Philadelphia Union
As above a crucial away win with Nathan Harriel scoring the vital goal. Everything I said in the Villa report is true with us preparing for Will's tactics and being prepared to take the draw but claiming the crucial away win. It is a different experience for me managing a side with no seconds and forces me to adapt. I do not expect Philly to win this competition but would be nice to get out of the group
