Queens Park Rangers U23 0 - 1 West Ham United U23

"Last minute winner"

Hammers youth side edged a tight contest with a narrow 1–0 win over Queens Park Rangers U23 in YDL Division Two. The Hammers dominated large spells, registering 19 attempts and striking the woodwork multiple times, but were frustrated by resilient defending and a solid display from QPR. In fact they had chances of their own, with Balogun hitting the bar and Vaughan going close, yet lacked cutting edge. The breakthrough finally arrived in the 84th minute when substitute Dike calmly finished after a surging run, earning Man of the Match honours. Despite late pressure from QPR, West Ham held firm to secure a deserved away victory.

West Bromwich U23 0 - 1 Coventry City U23

We will spend the week at training with everyone studying what the goal looks like, and how we manage to kick the ball into said rectangle. Our strikers were really poor, especially against an 18r goalkeeper, but we managed to get one eventually in the 93rd minute of the tie to secure a win.

It was a game we needed to see more of our forward line in, but thankfully Betjemann scored off of the bench and it keeps our decent start going for another round.

Really can't figure out the youths, so hopefully this can be a turning point.

Commiserations to West Brom who stood firm all game only to be denied a point in the 93rd minute
