Tough start on Tyneside for a new look Spurs team with Supriaha looking to score against his old club and Semenyo and Pedro to make their debuts - hopefully they can hit the ground running

Hoops v Eagles

We've been caretaking The Eagles for a couple of seasons now but mainly sheeting. This year we've tried to improve our roster to see if there's a way to perform at a high level for the whole season. Guglielmo Vicario is named new captain and will be massive for us when he level up. However, we've struggled the most offensively and Dango Ouattara has been our only forward of greay quality. Therefore we've decided to improve our attack through Taiwo Awoniyi on loan. The strong Nigerian can be a perfect fit to the pacey and technical Ouattara. Nelson Abbey, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Brajan Gruda and Moises Caicedo is also new players and gives us a bigger and better roster. We've lost Lewis Hall who is a massive loss for us but we've gained Abbey and Caicedo which makes our team better overall. Playing away from home isn't what we wanted for opening day but we're in London against one of our rivals. Perhaps the game we need to kick off the season if we're successful.

A new season so some new hopes. We will struggle after a few seasons of managerial laziness. Being at home is really the only thing going for us but we'll see what happens.

Good luck for the new season everyone (though hopefully Nottingham's good luck won't start until next round).

West Ham United vs Leeds United
I make my caretaker debut as Leeds manager taking on West Ham who were relegated from the Prem last season. My last time caretaking in this division saw me take Wolves up in second place and I would like to go one better this season and add the title to my resume

It was a big ask to turn the side round in the time I have had but it's been achieved with all except Declan Rice and Stevens in the outfield players in line for a debut. The big issue this side had was the FW line and the auction addition of Bryan Mbeumo has undoubtedly been the biggest addition of the off season for us. He should get a nice goal return in this league. Diogo Nascimiento who I know very well as a youth prospect from Villa will also be a great addition in the midfield. It's the model that took Wolves up and saw them be successful last season - a good solid depth of players with good seconds. Hopefully it works again.

We will go into most games this season with a squad worse on mains and this is no exception. The Hammers will be looking to bounce straight back to the top flight and have the squad to do it. We will need to make sure we are at our absolute best in this one and indeed all season.

You never know how long you will get as a caretaker so I will just try to enjoy it and see where the season takes us.

Tough away tie against Neil's WBA. Pogba and Bijol are much needed additions to our squad.
