NATIONAL LEAGUE CUP

From Season 24 with the introduction of the National League the League Cup will become the National League Cup and include National League Teams as well.
The format will be
Round 1
9 groups of 4 (36 teams)
The 9 group winners and 7 best second place will qualify for round 2.
Round 2
16 remaining teams will play 8 ties (home and away) and the 8 winners will progress to round 3
Round 3
8 teams will play 4 quarter final ties (home and away) and the 4 winners progress to the semi finals
Semi Finals
Remaining 4 teams drawn in 2 semi finals home and away and 2 winners progress to the final
Final
Remaining 2 teams play one match on a neutral ground.
