happy to get a much needed win but we need to keep picking up points we are no where near safe yet

A solid enough point away at a decent side with a good manager. Both sides were struggling with fitness and it led to a fairly uneventful match with few clear cut chances. These things happen after a tough week of cup ties. The draw was absolutely the fair result

As a game to have now completed the second half of the season this is the second successive league draw for us but we still sit on top of the pile although only by a single goal scored from Bournemouth. It looks like Matt is going to push us all the way and when we go to the Vitality in round 21 that could be crucial. We are pleased to be sat where we are currently - after 11 games last year we had two extra points but were third so the league is a little bit stronger since the split into two.

Another massive plus for us at this stage is we have played seven of our games away from Villa Park meaning we will have a large part of the remainder of the season in front of our own fans. That could be a key factor in helping to determine our fate this season

Gunners 0 - 0 Reds

For the third time in row we leave the field without winning. We've now gone three games without a win but to be fair, today we didn't deserve to win. Our performance wasn't good but thanks to great defending we managed to keep it scoreless. We lost Alejandro Garnacho in the opening stages of the game when he got injured and without him our attacking play didn't get going. We only manage a single shot on goal and it's far from good enough. But, at least we managed to get a point from our performance at Emirates Stadium.
