Queens Park Rangers 0-3 Wolverhampton Wanderers
In the end a comprehensive win but the game was deadlocked for a long time until substitute Diogo Jota scored with his first touch. From there we controlled the game and Maxwell Cornet and then Nathan Redmond both grabbed goals that meant the scoreline flattered us somewhat.
The win, coupled with a Palace win over Sheffield United throws the group wide open with two from three likely to go through. We are top of it but we are the ones with games against both our rivals and both of them will be away from home as well. two draws will actually be enough to put us through although weirdly a win in the Sheffield game could not be enough. The GD boost that this game gave us certainly helps our cause as well though.
This competition is far from the priority this season but we've laid the groundwork for a good campaign so hopefully we can finish the job off and make it through.

Blades 2 - 4 Eagles
After losing by a single goal at home to The Blades we came up with a big performance away from home and got a much needed result. We looked like losing when we went a goal down in the first minute but we picked ourselves up and played a great football game. Jean-Phillipe Mateta made it 1-1 after half an hour played and in the second half we turned on the heat. Breel Embolo made it 2-1 before James Rodriguez sent us 3-1 up with twenty minutes left of the game. The home side never gave up and two minutes after we made it 3-1 it was a one goal game. But thanks to commitment and trust in our play we got the winning goal through Jordon Ibe when he made it 4-2 to. A great result for us.
