Bournemouth - Aston Villa

We have been enjoying the new format of the CWC cup and played some top teams with great results to keep us second in the pile until today, We could go top with a win over Villa and Liverpool on a bye but Villa have a top side in the game full of quality players and a manager that is a proven winner with his side so its going to be a great contest to see if we can maintain our cup form and secure one of the automatic top places

Man City vs Al Ahly

A really tough trip to the Citizens in this one. They are flying high in the Premier League having already beaten my Villa side on the opening day - taking us somewhat by surprise there. However they haven't been as good in this one and we are level on points with us just ahead on GD.

We got our first win last time out and need to build on that but it's another away game. I don't see top four as a likely outcome for us here but making it into the top 12 has to be the goal. Man city seem to be a big rival for that so this is a massive game.

They are at full strength whilst we are missing the suspended Abdelfattah. But we have fitness issues at the back so rotation is necessary and that may mean we're not as attacking as we want to be.

A point isn't a disaster here but a loss would not be great

Bournemouth vs Aston Villa

A real test for us against Bournemouth who are going well this season and have already beaten us in the super cup this year. Going to be a true judgment on where we are this season as, with our inconsistency I am still unsure.

They are second in the league and but we're three points behind with a game in hand. A win would put us above them and put us in the real driving seat to finish higher than them. With Liverpool having a bye week as well this is a real chance for us to close the gap - but a loss could be a disaster.

Top four qualification is a must and we're outside that at the moment with a game in hand. We are unbeaten in the competition but our draw could be costly. We need to be picking up at least a point here if we want that automatic progression spot
