Brighton 2-0 Wolves.

We gave a good account of ourselves however the Brighton goalkeeper was really on form and was not letting anything past him. Although we created chances he made a number of important saves and we could not find a way past him. Our strikers this season are lower than last season so the most important thing for them this season is gaining abbs and getting better as I was not expecting buckets of goals playing lower strikers as there developing however what I was expecting was effort and getting shots on goal and that's something both strikers are doing and most importantly there getting shots on target. Kyle is really starting to take a leadership roll in the side this season and is performing well behind the front two although again i'd like his numbers to be better. Ryan Trevert as well being our best midfielder again i'd like to see his numbers improve. We will be looking at formation to see if we could potentially play a different way to get the best out of these players.

Newcastle United U23 2 - 0 Sunderland U23

Piss poor from us. A little too avant guarde with the match plan and it showed. Newcastle kept it classic, stuck to the fundamentals and scored twice. And Durrant didn't even play for them today - what luxury to have a kid like him on the bench.

We aren't hitting the same peaks as last season, it's obvious now, at least of terms in league performance. We've been able to promote Matadeen and Slade to first team Super League football, massive massive success. But that's a trade off against the relative strength of the team. We can still pick off a few wins here and there though, we clearly have it in us, just need to work out how we set up best to use the squad's collective talents.
